Event Information:

The technical presentation will touch base on the various ready mixed concrete specifications and standards used in the province of Ontario. These will cover most residential, commercial, municipal and provincial concrete applications. A proper understanding and knowledge of concrete requirements on your project protects public safety, minimizes liabilities, and promotes sustainable construction. This presentation provides beneficial information to both owners, specifiers and designers.

Our Speaker:

Oliver Xiao, P.Eng.

Technical Services Engineer

Oliver has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and he is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario. He works for the Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario as the Technical Services Engineer. He is responsible for the ready mixed concrete production facility certification program and leads the Municipal Outreach Program that offers technical assistance on concrete standards and specifications to municipalities across Ontario. Oliver also has extensive knowledge in research and development of construction materials and technologies, in addition to project delivery experiences for specialized application projects.
