Buried infrastructure is out of sight but should not be out of mind.
This presentation will introduce various aspects of the design, manufacturing and installation of underground precast concrete.
Lean about the types of concrete mixes and reinforcement used at precast plants for a wide range of buried concrete. Also hear about installation practices that range from open cut construction to trenchless installation, plus post-installation inspection and crack evaluation of concrete pipe.

Our Speaker:
Paul Imm, P.Eng.
Director of Engineering, Rinker Materials Canada
Paul Imm has a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1997. Paul is currently the Director of Engineering at Rinker Materials Canada, a Quikrete Company, a concrete pipe and precast manufacturer with plants in Ontario, Quebec, and 35 US States.
Paul’s prior work experience includes consulting engineering in municipal engineering and land development, and the concrete pipe & precast industry trade association. Paul also sits on the CSA A257, A23.4 and S6, and ASTM C13 & C27 standards committees, and served as president of ACI Ontario Chapter.
