Event Information:
By now you have probably heard of “integrated systems testing” as a new requirement of the Ontario Building Code. This requirement has been in effect since January 1, 2020 for construction projects in Ontario. However, many building owners, property managers, contractors and even authorities that are responsible to enforce this requirement are not sure what this requirement means to a project, and whether a project is applicable or exempt from this requirement.
This presentation will touch base on the following questions:
• “What is integrated systems testing?”
• “Why is it required?”
• “What can go wrong if it is not carried out?”
• “Does it apply to all buildings?”
• “Who can be the integrated systems test coordinator?”
Real-life case study will be used to answer these questions. In addition, a summary on how to carry out an integrated systems testing plan will also be presented.
