Event Information:
This technical presentation will touch base on the various common applications of the lightweight cellular fill. The presenter will showcase multiple projects from across Canada and US. New applications on excess soil and weak soil preloading reductions will also be presented. Up-to-date standards and specifications on LCC solutions and industry practices will also be part of the presentation.

Our Guest Speaker:
Oliver Xiao, P.Eng.
Ontario Technical Rep, CEMATRIX Canada Inc.
Oliver a licensed professional engineer in Ontario. He currently works as the Ontario technical rep for CEMATRIX Canada, a specialty lightweight cellular concrete contractor. He previously worked for the Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario as their technical services engineer, where he was responsible for its certification program and provided technical assistance on standards and specifications to municipalities across Ontario.
Oliver also has extensive knowledge in research and development of construction materials and technologies, in addition to project delivery experiences for specialized application projects. He is actively involved with various professional associations and he is a board member of the American Concrete Institute Ontario Chapter.
