2025 Professional Engineers Ontario York Chapter Engineering Entrance Scholarship

Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) York Chapter is offering one University Engineering Entrance Scholarship valued at $1,500 this year. Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is a self-regulating body that licenses and governs Ontario's professional engineers. York Chapter is the local presence for PEO in York Region.


To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant must be a graduating Grade 12 student from a secondary school located in York Region and be accepted and enrolled into an accredited engineering program at a Canadian University for the 2025-2026 school year. The applicant must be entering the first-year of the accredited engineering program in Fall 2025. If selected, proof of enrollment must be submitted by October 30 in order to receive scholarship funds.

Application Requirements and Evaluation Criteria

Please see the Scholarship Criteria document for the detailed evaluation criteria and application requirements. All applicant should read this document before beginning their application. Applications will be assess based on 1) Academics 2) Interest in Professional Engineering 3) Resiliency, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills and 4) Employment, Extracurricular and Community Involvement.

Due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.


The scholarship recipient will need to attend one or more of the current PEO York Chapter events in person and provide a short talk about their interest in the engineering discipline in order to receive the scholarship funds. The recipient will be asked to provide an acceptance speech video for the PEO York Chapter YouTube channel and website.

  1. Completed application form (including personal info, graduating high school, academics, interest in professional engineering, demonstration of leadership skills, and extracurricular or community involvement)
  2. A reference letter
  3. An official transcript

All must be submitted within the same email to education@peoyork.com by the scholarship deadline.
