Motivating Across Generations

Millennials (those born 1981-1995) are the fastest growing generation in the workforce today. Last year, they represented close to one-third of the Canadian Labour Force. By next year, Millennials also known as Gen Yers will outnumber Baby Boomers in the workforce. That said, the Millennials has different work requirements and expectations than the Baby Boomers and Gen Xers who manage them. Understanding these differences will help managers to be effective and their Gen Yers to flourish.
Does your traditional talent management strategy work for the Millennial Generation? How can an organization effectively attract, recruit, manage and retain the Millennials? More importantly, how can a manager effectively lead a multi-generational workforce. This workshop looks at the behavior similarities and differences of the Millennials versus their Gen Y or Boomer managers. The group will jointly come up with talent management strategies and tactics to take with them to embed into the corporate strategy.
